Is FedEx Open on Columbus Day 2027?

Is FedEx Open on Columbus Day?

FedEx is open at some locations on Columbus Day, and hours vary by location. Whether the store near you is open depends on who runs it, so check that exact location before you plan a drop-off or pickup.

Hours status for this holiday: varies.

Columbus Day is a federal holiday, and many businesses change their schedules for it. A store that is open on a normal day may close early or stay shut. If you need to ship something by a set time, confirm your store's hours before you leave home.

Checking Your FedEx Before Columbus Day

Many FedEx locations are run by franchisees or independent operators rather than by the company itself. Each one sets its own schedule, so nearby stores can have different holiday hours. Keep that in mind if you plan to compare options in your area.

To check one store, start with the store locator on the company's holiday hours page. Enter your address, then open the listing for the location you plan to use. That listing is the most direct way to see its own schedule for the day.

The FedEx app is another option. Find the store and review its details before you head out. If anything looks unclear, call the store directly and ask about its hours for that day.

Common Questions

Can I Drop Off a Package on Columbus Day?

That depends on the location. Call the store you plan to use before you go, because its hours may differ from those of other stores nearby.

Are All FedEx Stores Closed on Columbus Day?

Not necessarily. Hours vary by location, so a store may keep a different schedule than the one next to it. Check the store you need instead of assuming.

Is It Better to Check Online or Call?

Both work well. The online listing is quick to scan, while a call can confirm any same-day change at that store. If your trip depends on a set time, it helps to do both.
