Is Target Open on Christmas Eve 2026?

Is Target Open on Christmas Eve?

Target is open on Christmas Eve. Plan your trip for the day, but confirm the hours before you leave home so you do not arrive to a surprise.

Target's usual hours, as listed last year, ran from stores will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. local time. Those were the hours for 2025, so treat them as a guide rather than a promise for this season.

This year's hours are not posted yet. Until they are, leave some extra time in case the day runs on a different schedule than last year. A quick check of the hours before you head out can save a wasted trip.

Target Christmas Eve Hours

Shopping at Target on Christmas Eve

Plan your visit around the hours you confirm, not the usual ones. Holiday days often bring heavier crowds, so it helps to know your window before you set out.

It also helps to finish most of your list earlier in the week. That gives you time to fix a missing item without rushing on the day itself.

• Check the hours in the Target app or on Target's own website before you leave home.
• Consider ordering online and choosing pickup or delivery in the Target app, so you can skip the store trip altogether.
• Buy gift wrap, batteries, and other small items earlier in the week, when the shelves are less picked over.
• If you do go in person, aim for the middle of your confirmed window, away from the start and end of the day.
