Is Lowe's Open on Christmas 2026?

Is Lowe's Open on Christmas Day?

Lowe's is closed on Christmas Day, the holiday that falls in 2026. Plan your holiday shopping for another day.

If you need tools, paint, lumber or gifts for the holiday, do not count on the store being open that day. It helps to make your list early so you have time to shop before the holiday arrives. Consider checking the company's holiday hours page before you leave home, so you know what to expect for your visit.

Shopping Before Christmas Day If Lowe's Is Closed

The days before Christmas Day are often the easiest time to shop for holiday projects and gifts. Stores can get busy in the final days, so going early in the day can help you avoid long lines and full aisles. If you can, plan your trip for the day before the holiday and keep the day after in mind as a backup.

Some grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations stay open on holidays, so they may be useful if you run short on something small. Each business sets its own schedule, so check its hours before you go. Calling ahead can save a wasted trip, especially if you need a specific item.
